LETTER: Technology is not an issue to stop cars on The Hundred
SIR: I really do not see that technology is an issue for stopping cars using the Hundred at controlled times. Sandpit Wood, Sherfield English, fatal fire in 1941
IT IS interesting how attitudes to protecting children have changed in recent times. Some years ago I was reading The Tale of Mrs Tiggy-Winkle to my granddaughter and what caught her attention was that four-year-old Lucy could go for a walk up the hill called Catbells without first seeking her mother’s permission. Nowadays, the idea of a four-year-old going off on her own would be completely unacceptable.
